Dear Travel Grant Applicants:

Please note that due to an extremely high number of outstanding submissions, we are taking much longer to review grant applications than we intended. Due to this, we are delaying our announcements in order to give adequate attention to these amazing applications. We will email all applicants on Tuesday, June 14 with our final decision.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Kind regards,

Eli Pollard,

Executive Director

Travel grants to attend the WPC 2016 are available on a limited basis. While we wish we could support everyone who applies, we are limited in funding and strongly encourage applicants to be creative about how they can also raise money from local organizations, places of work, innovative fundraisers, and so on. Recipients of travel support from the WPC will still be expected to make a financial commitment as the support from WPC will not cover all expenses.

Travel grants will be offered to three groups, (1) those who reside OUTSIDE Oregon/SW Washington, (2) to those who reside in Oregon/SW Washington region & (3) those who reside in British Columbia.

Group 1: Via 4th World Parkinson Congress (WPC) to citizens residing outside Oregon.
Group 2: Via Parkinson's Resources of Oregon (PRO) to citizens residing in Oregon & SW Washington

Group 3: Via Parkinson Society British Columbia (PSBC) to citizens residing in British Columbia

Scholarships will support one or more of the following expenses based on need:
»registration fees,
»lodging and
»travel expenses.

A completed application must be submitted online by the relevant deadline dates below. The application process for these three groups is different, so please read the details below to ensure you meet the required deadline for YOUR application.

Note: Submission of an application does not constitute an award. Applications should NOT incur expenses until written notification of award is received.

The WPC thanks the supporters of the WPC 2016 Travel Grants program:
AbbVie Inc., Travel Portland, Edmond J. Safra Foundation, The Kenneth Aidekman Family Foundation,
